Does the villa have Internet Access?
More than just an amenity, Internet access is mission-critical for the business traveler, in addition to being a great perk for kids/teens in tow. For your convenience, the villa offers FREE high-speed Internet service. Bring your laptop and stay connected with friends, family, and the office or surf the internet for your next Manzanillo activity!
Who cooks and pays for meals at the villa?
One of the amenities that are part of our vacation rental package is the service
of our cook staff. They are available to cook and serve up to three
meals daily. After finishing your meal, retire to the pool or living
room and they will clean up.
One
question that is frequently asked regards how arrangements are made
for the meals. If you choose to dine at the villa you are responsible
for the cost of the groceries, including beverages and condiments. For
regular meals, costs average about $20 - $25 per day per person. Alcoholic
beverages and seafood purchases would cause this estimated cost to increase.
Guests set up a petty cash system with the house manager, advancing
him funds to do the grocery shopping. Receipts for purchases made on
your behalf are always provided.
How are meals served?
Meals at the villa are served family style. When making your meal selections,
please choose the main entrée and side dishes knowing that only one
main entrée selection, etc. will be prepared for the group, as we are
not equipped to serve each guest a separate menu choice.

How many people can the villa accommodate?
Our villa can comfortably sleep 15 adults and two children. We
have accommodated groups as large as 20 people at the villa at one
time. In those cases there were small children or teenagers that were
part of the group and they slept on sofas and mattresses in different areas of the
villa.
Does the villa have air-conditioning?
All enclosed rooms at the villa are air-conditioned. Air-conditioned
rooms include all seven bedrooms and their private bathrooms, the television/game
room, the kitchen and the indoor dining room. The main living area and
outside dining area are open to take advantage of the magnificent view
and are cooled by the natural breezes from the Pacific Ocean.
How
large and deep is the pool? Is it heated?
The pool is approximately 12 feet wide and 25 feet long. It is about
4.5 feet deep. Enjoy mesmerizing views of Las Hadas and Manzanillo Bay
from the swim up bar. Although not typically needed, the pool can be heated for an additional charge. It may take up to 24-hours to reach desired temperatures, so please let the house staff know in advance if you would like this service.
Will American blow dryers and miscellaneous electric devices work
with the plugs at the villa? Yes, the villa uses the same current
and all electric devices that work in the United States will work at
the villa.
How old is the villa?
The villa was built in the late 1970’s using one of the most enduring styles of architecture—Mediterranean (Moorish) with Mexican colonial details. The individual who built the villa was at the time president of the Las Hadas resort. He had his pick of lots in the area and chose the lot the villa is built on because of it's breath-taking views. Meticulously maintained, and regularly updated to include the most modern amenities, the pristine facility contains some of the area’s most coveted adornments, such as beautiful antique doors, distinctive trim work, curved archways and more. Everything you would expect to find in a 5-star hotel—all contained within a beautifully maintained private villa!
Does the villa have a baby bed available for guests?
The villa has a traditional baby bed with adjustable side rails, a portable
baby bed and high chairs that can be used by our littlest guests.

and a challenging round. Current rates not available.

Can you scuba dive and snorkel in the Manzanillo area?
Yes, scuba diving and snorkeling are popular activities in Manzanillo.
We are blessed to have a scuba shop not far from the villa. It is run
by a woman from the United States who has the highest certification
available in the diving industry. Her shop, Underworld Scuba, rents
equipment and offers tours for the scuba and snorkeling enthusiasts.
It is a PADI Dive Center, a CMAS Dive Center and a member of PIRA (PADI
International Resort Association). If you book an excursion with Underworld Scuba they will pick you up and drop you off at the villa.
How
close is the beach?
Manzanillo has numerous beaches. There are two beaches within walking distance
of the villa. Audiencia beach is located near Hotel Tesoro. This
is the beach that the movie "10" was filmed on, featuring Bo Derek and
Dudley Moore. It is a quick car ride or a less than 10-minute walk from
the villa. Chairs and beach umbrellas are available for rent. This is
a good area for snorkeling. Paddleboats, jet skis, kayaks, boogie boards
and banana boat rides are available from beach vendors. Bring a cooler
from the villa and spend the day at this fun beach in Manzanillo. The beach at the
Las Hadas hotel is accessible only after paying an entrance fee at the
main gate of Las Hadas. This is a very nice beach with beautiful white
beach tents, towels and chairs available for rent. See our FAQ about Las Hadas and the gorgeous Mexican Riviera beaches. There are numerous other gorgeous Mexican Riviera beaches in the Manzanillo/Santiago
area within a ten to fifteen minute driving time.
Do we have access to the Las Hadas Hotel?
Las Hadas allows entrance to villa guests to their golf and tennis facilities.
Guests pay the posted fees for those activities. Since the hotel was
purchased by Brisas, they have been charging an entrance fee for
visitors. As of the spring 2007, they charge $250 pesos (about $25.00
US) for each adult per day and $150 pesos (about $15.00 US) for each
child (ages 6 to 12) per day (one child per adult). They provide you
with coupons that can be exchanged for services within the hotel, such
as beach tents, towel rental, lounge chairs at the beach or pool and merchandise.
Las Hadas has a beautiful pool with a swim up bar. The beach is gorgeous
and clean. Coupons can also be used for meals at the several hotel restaurants
and for bar tabs. Prices and conditions
are subject to change without notice.

Is the villa rented to more than one group at a time?
Each rental has private use of the villa. Whether your group has four
or twenty, you will have the villa to yourself.
Do you charge for children to stay at the villa and is the villa
set up for children? With the exception of infants less than one
year of age, children are considered in the rental calculation. We base
our number of staff on the number of guests staying in your group. Children
keep our staff quite busy, as we strive to keep a clean and safe atmosphere
for your group. Because of staffing considerations, we must charge for
children. If you have children in your group, remember that the villa
has a lot of steps and areas with balconies that are not child proof.
Children must be supervised at all times. The staff is not permitted
to baby-sit. The pool and hot tub are right off the main living area.
That said, we have had many groups with younger and older children with
great success. The Mexican culture is very family-oriented, and your
children will be most welcome by our staff. See our house staff for
baby sitter references.
Does the villa provide childcare services?
The villa does not provide a formal child care service. Please consult with our knowledgable house staff regarding recommended local babysitters. It is your responsibility, however, to contact these individuals to set up service and work out payment arrangements and other important details. The villa assumes no responsibility with respect to this service and accepts no liabilities relative to these services.
Is there a minimum or maximum stay required at the villa?
There is no minimum or maximum number of nights a group must reserve
to rent the villa. If we can fit you into the calendar, whether it's
one night or 30 nights, we'll do it. We do have a 6-person minimum charge
per night. Please note that there is a minimum 10-person charge during the Christmas Holiday 12/15-1/5. This works out well, as smaller groups do not have to pay
a huge weekly rental fee when their group doesn't use all the bedrooms
and does not need the large staff that a big group requires. Why pay
for it if you don't use it?
We have family/friends all over the United States that would like
to go. How do we get there? Manzanillo has an airport. There
are frequent flights into Manzanillo from Mexico City and from Los Angeles, Houston, Pheonix and other cities throughout North America.
During the high season there are flights from other cities, but this
changes. The best thing to do is to check with your travel agent. Some
of our guests fly into Guadalajara and then either hire a Suburban (about
$400.00 US for 7-8 people) or take the ETN Bus Line (nice and safe,
too!) for about $25.00 per person to get to Manzanillo. They find this
saves a lot of money. Call our office for further details.
